Yo!
Sorry I haven't been around. I haven't really bothered with the internet in the last two weeks, I've been elsewhere (with someone special <3) and decided to let the internet become the relatively unimportant triviality that it should be, as opposed to the all-important boy-hunting search engine that I had turned it into for a month or so.
That being said, I must begin:
I quit Fashion Bug.
I did something that I hate having people do. I said, on the phone to Debbi, "In a move rather uncharacteristic of me, I'm offering my immediate resignation." Word for word, because I'm a pretentious faggot, but regardless, it's still just me calling in and saying "I quit" - and why?
Well, I called off work yesterday. I wasn't feel quite up to going in. And I didn't feel quite up to staying today, so I left at 1. I left sick. Sort of. Well, anyway - the District Manager called my house - where I was - and my sister, idiotically, said that I wasn't here. FURY! So he calls my cellphone and leaves the stupidest message on my voicemail ever. Sort of threatening, it basically said "Chris, you need to get back here right now, and when you do, we're going to have to sit down in the back and have a little talk."
Yeah, alright you idiot. We'll do that.
You see, I've taken to this job rather easily because it is, *cough* pathetically easy. A total moron could do this job - I mean, I have a total moron for a district manager, so it can't be that hard. Mind you, this guy is a jackass who doesn't know how to delegate responsibility. He places responsibility on all members of management, or he consolidates it to one, but he never spreads it out equally. There is no pulling one's own weight - you pull it all or you suffer for it. So what if I'm kicking ass and have double the amount of charges I'm supposed to - THERE ARE TO BE NO EXCEPTIONS! I've gotten 7 charges one day in 5 hours, right? NO EXCEPTIONS! I NEED ANOTHER 10 CHARGES IN TWO HOURS!
I think "NO EXCEPTIONS" was his favourite phrase, because he ended almost every god-damned e-mail with it. Well, fuckwad, here in the real world, there are exceptions, and sometimes you have to figure out when to make them, no?
Well, I'm ranting. Basically, this guy was an idiot, and I decided I hate my job at Fashion Bug so much that it wasn't worth putting up with his self-righteous, arrogant bullshit when I got there. I'm not going to have this asshole talk down to me when he can't even fucking spell or use correct grammar in an e-mail which goes to the 15 or so stores in charge of millions of dollars that he's supposed to be pretending to handle. Try to seem professional, you ass!
He's such a goon!
So anyway, my point is I quit, and I didn't give a notice. I hate Fashion Bug that much.
I guess I have some job opportunities that I'm working on. I applied for, heh, 14 jobs today, and I'm going to have an impromptu meeting with the new District Manager at Hot Topic tomorrow, I think they'll probably hire me back, I left on good terms, gave a notice, and it seems like Katy wants me back anyway, and she's a pretty good reference, but whatev. I want to work at Krogers or Target or something. Easy? Yes. Boring? No. And I would get paid weekly, which would seriously just be badass.
So that's tomorrow.
Two other things:
EDIT: DELETED!
2 - Why the fuck is Michael Lewis STILL referencing Chris Bruckmann and I in his livejournal? I skimmed that shit and he talks about us in every other post. Day-uhm!

on jobs
You might be interested in trying Convergys. I'm working for Convergys back home in Texas now and they have an office in Cincinnati. It's really easy and almost fun dealing with high-speed internet issues for Comcast. Plus, here they start at $8 an hour and it doesn't take long to move up to $12 an hour as a team leader as long as you're smart and do your job. So for someone like you or me, it's not hard to make good money pretty quickly. That is the pay here and I don't know what they pay there, but I imagine it's the same or better.Anyway, just a thought.
